This fully remote opportunity is ideal for an experienced ServiceNow developer looking to design, build, and optimize enterprise workflow solutions. The role focuses on creating scalable applications, automations, integrations, and platform enhancements that improve business operations. You will work across key ServiceNow modules, collaborating with technical teams and stakeholders to deliver reliable, upgrade-safe solutions. The position combines hands-on development, platform architecture, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement. The ideal candidate brings strong ServiceNow expertise, thoughtful coding practices, and a passion for creating efficient digital experiences. You will play a key role in transforming business processes through innovative technology solutions.
### Accountabilities:
The ServiceNow Application Developer will design, develop, and maintain ServiceNow solutions while ensuring platform performance, scalability, security, and alignment with business needs.
- Develop and configure ServiceNow solutions across ITSM, ITOM, HRSD, CSM, and custom scoped applications.
- Build automated workflows using Flow Designer, IntegrationHub, Process Automation Designer, and other platform capabilities.
- Create and maintain server-side and client-side scripts, including Business Rules, Script Includes, Client Scripts, UI Actions, and UI Policies.
- Develop scoped applications following ServiceNow best practices to maintain clean, upgrade-safe, and high-performing environments.
- Design and implement integrations with enterprise systems using REST APIs, SOAP APIs, IntegrationHub spokes, and MID Servers.
- Create catalog items, request workflows, and fulfillment automation processes that improve user experience and operational efficiency.
- Develop Service Portal, Employee Center, and custom portal experiences using widgets and AngularJS.
- Support CMDB integrations, identification rules, and data quality initiatives to improve platform accuracy.
- Build reports, dashboards, and performance analytics solutions to provide operational visibility.
- Participate in technical design reviews, document decisions, and contribute to platform standards.
- Support platform upgrades, regression testing, and customization remediation across ServiceNow releases.
- Troubleshoot scripting, integration, and performance issues across development, testing, and production environments.
- Collaborate with administrators, business analysts, and stakeholders to translate requirements into effective technical solutions.
- Stay current with ServiceNow releases, emerging features, and industry best practices.
### Requirements:
The ideal candidate is a skilled ServiceNow professional with strong development experience, technical problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to building maintainable enterprise solutions.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field.
- 5+ years of hands-on ServiceNow development experience.
- Strong JavaScript knowledge, including ES5/ES6 patterns used within ServiceNow environments.
- Deep expertise with Business Rules, Script Includes, Client Scripts, UI Actions, and UI Policies.
- Experience designing workflows and automations using Flow Designer and IntegrationHub.
- Hands-on experience building integrations using REST, SOAP, and MID Servers.
- Strong understanding of the ServiceNow data model and CMDB concepts.
- Experience developing Service Portal widgets and custom user experiences.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and root-cause analysis skills.
- Experience supporting multiple ServiceNow instances and enterprise environments.
- ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) certification required.
- ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD) certification is preferred.
- Experience with Certified Implementation Specialist credentials such as ITSM, HR, CSM, or ITOM is a plus.
- Familiarity with Now Assist, GenAI Controller, App Engine Studio, or other emerging ServiceNow capabilities is beneficial.
- Ability to work directly as a full-time employee and complete technical assessments as part of the hiring process.
