Key Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, and execute powertrain testing as per project requirements
• Conduct performance, durability, endurance, thermal, fuel economy, NVH, and validation tests on engines and transmission systems
• Develop test procedures, test plans, and validation reports
• Configure and operate engine dynamometers, chassis dynamometers, and data acquisition systems
• Analyze test data and identify performance trends, root causes, and improvement opportunities
• Coordinate with Design, CAE, Calibration, Prototype, and Manufacturing teams to resolve technical issues
• Validate components and complete systems against engineering specifications and regulatory requirements
• Monitor test instrumentation, sensors, and measurement equipment to ensure data accuracy
• Prepare technical reports and present findings to cross-functional teams
• Support new product development, benchmarking, and technology evaluation activities
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and laboratory operating procedures

Requirements

• B.E./B.Tech/M.E./M.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or Automobile Engineering
• 2–6 years of relevant powertrain testing experience
• Automotive OEM or Tier-1 supplier experience preferred
• Experience in BS VI/Euro emission testing is an added advantage
• Exposure to hybrid or electric powertrain testing is desirable
