Job Description

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Site Reliability Engineer based in Canada. This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast-growing technology environment focused on building secure, scalable, and highly available cloud infrastructure. In this role, you will play a critical part in maintaining and optimizing large-scale cloud environments, supporting internal teams, and driving operational excellence across mission-critical systems. Working within a collaborative and innovation-driven culture, you will contribute to infrastructure automation, cloud security, monitoring, and incident response initiatives. The position offers broad exposure to modern DevOps and cloud technologies, allowing you to influence architecture decisions and improve platform reliability at scale. It is an ideal opportunity for engineers who enjoy solving complex technical challenges and thrive in dynamic, cloud-first environments. ### Accountabilities: - Manage and maintain multi-account cloud environments, ensuring scalability, security, and operational efficiency across infrastructure platforms. - Deploy, configure, troubleshoot, and optimize cloud-based systems and services while supporting internal stakeholders and technical teams. - Design and implement infrastructure-as-code solutions to automate provisioning, configuration, and lifecycle management processes. - Monitor system health, availability, and performance, proactively identifying risks and implementing improvements to increase reliability and resilience. - Develop and maintain automation tools, scripts, and operational processes that improve deployment efficiency and reduce manual intervention. - Ensure cloud environments comply with security standards, internal policies, and industry best practices. - Collaborate with engineering teams to support new cloud initiatives, provide technical guidance, and promote operational excellence. - Participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation, responding to incidents, troubleshooting production issues, and driving post-incident improvements. - Contribute to monitoring strategies, observability initiatives, and continuous improvement efforts across infrastructure and operations teams. ## Requirements - Minimum of 3 years of experience in Linux/UNIX systems administration and production infrastructure management. - At least 3 years of hands-on experience working with Amazon Web Services (AWS) and cloud-native technologies. - Experience managing multi-account AWS environments and cloud governance solutions, including AWS Control Tower. - Strong scripting and automation skills using languages such as Python, Bash, Ruby, or Go. - Proven experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform and CloudFormation. - Solid knowledge of configuration management and automation platforms, including Ansible, Puppet, Chef, or Salt. - Experience using Git in collaborative development environments, including branching strategies, code reviews, and version control workflows. - Familiarity with container technologies and orchestration platforms such as Docker and Kubernetes is considered a strong asset. - Experience with DevOps tooling, CI/CD pipelines, and platforms such as Jenkins and Artifactory is preferred. - Knowledge of monitoring, observability, and performance analysis solutions across distributed environments and multiple data centers. - Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in fast-paced environments. - Excellent communication and collaboration abilities, with a proactive mindset and strong commitment to operational excellence. ## Benefits - Fully remote and flexible work environment designed to support work-life balance. - Competitive compensation package with an expected salary range of CAD 87,000 – CAD 105,000, depending on experience and qualifications. - Generous paid time off and holiday schedule. - Comprehensive healthcare benefits, including progressive medical coverage options. - Retirement savings programs and long-term financial planning support. - Paid parental leave and family-friendly policies. - Education reimbursement and continuous learning opportunities. - Access to employee resource groups and inclusive community initiatives. - Regular team-building activities, company events, and volunteering opportunities. - Collaborative and supportive culture that encourages innovation, professional growth, and individual contributio How Jobgether works: We use an AI-powered matching process to ensure your application is reviewed quickly, objectively, and fairly against the role's core requirements.
