Job Description

Smart IT Frame is hiring a highly experienced Full Stack Java Lead Developer with strong backend expertise to support an enterprise client. The role involves designing, developing, and leading enterprise-grade applications with a strong focus on backend systems, microservices architecture, and distributed systems. This is an onsite contract engagement in McLean, VA, requiring a face-to-face client interview.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead design and development of enterprise-grade backend applications
  • Architect and implement microservices-based distributed systems
  • Build and maintain REST APIs and web services
  • Work with SQL/NoSQL databases including Oracle, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB
  • Implement messaging solutions using Kafka and JMS
  • Manage CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Git, and Maven
  • Deploy and manage containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in Java development
  • Strong expertise in Java 8/11/17, Spring, and Spring Boot
  • Extensive experience with microservices architecture
  • Strong backend development experience
  • Experience with REST APIs and web services
  • Solid understanding of SQL/NoSQL databases (Oracle, PostgreSQL, MongoDB)
  • Experience with messaging systems (Kafka, JMS)
  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Git, Maven)
  • Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Prior experience with financial regulatory or compliance-based organizations preferred
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure) preferred
