UNCOMN is seeking a motivated and collaborative Software Developer 2 (Associate) to join our growing development team. In this role, you will help design, build, test, and maintain modern applications using Java, Microsoft Azure, and Agile development practices. What You’ll Do - Design, develop, test, and maintain software applications using Java and Microsoft Azure technologies. - Build, enhance, and support RESTful APIs and backend services. - Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, development, deployment, and ongoing support. - Collaborate with product owners, QA teams, and engineers to translate business requirements into technical solutions. - Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following established best practices. - Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize application performance. - Create and manage detailed Jira tickets while supporting a shared Agile workflow. - Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives. - Contribute to peer code reviews and continuous improvement initiatives. Requirements - 2+ years of experience in software development, workflow analysis, stakeholder collaboration, and Agile environments. - Must be eligible to obtain a Secret clearance, granted by the U.S. Government, which requires U.S. citizenship. The government also uses [13 adjudicative guidelines](https://news.clearancejobs.com/2021/03/05/security-clearance-adjudicative-guidelines/) to determine an individual's eligibility. - Experience developing backend services and working with RESTful APIs. - Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive mindset focused on delivering effective solutions. - Willingness to obtain relevant certifications based on future client or contract requirements. - Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts clearly. - Ability to thrive in a collaborative, team-oriented environment. Preferred - Bachelor’s degree and/or CompTIA Security+ preferred. - Desire to learn and work with emerging technologies.
