Position: Software Developer Level 5 – Algorithms and Data Fusion
Location: Bremen, Germany

Tasks:
- Documentation of the software components for which you are responsible
- Integration of software subsystems comprising multiple software components, including within the target system
- Support with system integration
- Documentation of specifications for software subsystems for third-party software development, including technical leadership
- Technical leadership of Level 1, 2, 3 and 4 software developers and students, including supervision of Bachelor's, Master's and diploma theses
- Strategic further development of technical topics within the relevant
Requirements:
- A Master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent
- Several years' professional experience in software development
- Experience of working on large-scale software projects
- Several years' experience in the technical management of software development
- Excellent programming and design skills in an object-oriented programming language
- Excellent written and spoken English or German
- Experience in developing modular and scalable data fusion frameworks
- Excellent knowledge of C++
- Excellent knowledge of algorithms and methods
- Processing and fusion of heterogeneous data and sensor sources
- Comprehensive understanding of overall system and software architecture
- Willingness to travel worldwide
- Analytical and structured approach to work
- High degree of personal responsibility in architectural and technological decision-making
Technical focus:
- Development of modular and scalable data fusion frameworks
- Processing, synchronisation and fusion of heterogeneous data and sensor sources
- Contributing to real-time-capable, distributed system architectures
Technical skills (must-haves):
- Experience with multi-threading and low-latency systems
- Knowledge of DDS-based communication
- Very good knowledge of data fusion methodologies (e.g. Kalman filters, synchronisation, probabilistic data fusion, etc.)
Working style and responsibilities:
- Analytical, structured and solution-oriented approach
- Focus on robust, maintainable and extensible software solutions
- High degree of personal responsibility for architectural and technological decisions
Language skills:
- German or business-fluent English (knowledge of German is not essential)
Note:
The role is based primarily at the Bremen site. If you live outside the region, you must be willing to relocate.
