COMPASS (Comprehensive Performance & Analytics for Bus Systems) is LTA's strategic analytics platform for bus operations. It consolidates data from fleet management systems, onboard devices, and operational platforms to provide actionable insights that support data-driven decision-making across LTA and public transport operators (PTO).
As COMPASS continues to evolve, new initiatives are being developed to enhance bus operations through predictive maintenance and AI-enabled insights. These initiatives require enhancements across application development, system integration, data processing, cloud infrastructure, cybersecurity, and platform operations.
To accelerate the development and delivery of these initiatives, LTA intends to augment its in-house technical team with manpower services. The engaged personnel will work closely with the COMPASS team to design, develop, secure, deploy, and maintain platform capabilities while supporting knowledge transfer and capability development within LTA. The objective is to strengthen COMPASS as a scalable and sustainable platform that meets both current and future operational needs.
- Responsible for designing, building, and maintaining the server-side logic, databases, and APIs that power COMPASS platform, ensuring reliability, performance, and security:

- Develop data processing, transformation, and analytics services.
- Implement application monitoring, logging, and observability features to support system reliability and operational troubleshooting.
- Troubleshoot and resolve application and integration issues to ensure service reliability and performance
- Work closely with frontend engineers, data teams, and business stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver technical solutions.
- Implement authentication, authorisation, and other security best practices in backend systems.
- Support testing, deployment, and production operations activities.
