This role will focus on developing, testing, maintaining, and enhancing software applications and components that support business and technology needs. The ideal candidate will have strong software engineering fundamentals, hands-on programming experience, and familiarity with modern development practices. The candidate should also be comfortable using AI-assisted development tools or AI agents to help write, test, debug, and improve code as part of day-to-day software development. This role is best suited for someone with at least 2 years of software development experience and at least 1 year of exposure to AI-related development, AI-enabled applications, or AI-assisted software engineering. Key Responsibilities: - Develop, test, maintain, and enhance software applications and components using modern programming languages such as Python, JavaScript, Java, Go, or similar languages. - Write clean, secure, maintainable, and efficient code following established software development standards and best practices. - Collaborate with engineers, product owners, and business users to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions. - Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve application issues, escalating risks or complex problems when needed. - Participate in code reviews and contribute to improvements in code quality, testing, and development practices. - Support integration of applications with APIs, databases, cloud services, and software tools. - Use AI-assisted development tools or AI agents to support coding, testing, debugging, and documentation. - Contribute to continuous improvement of development processes, agile engineering practices, and secure application development. Required Qualifications: - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. - Minimum of 2 years of professional software development experience. - Minimum of 1 year of exposure to AI development, AI-enabled applications, automation, or AI-assisted software engineering. - Experience with at least one modern programming language, preferably Python. - Understanding of software development fundamentals, including application design, APIs, testing, debugging, and version control. - Familiarity with Git or similar version control systems. - Basic understanding of cloud-based application development, preferably AWS. - Strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills. Compensation Overview:Princeton - NJ - US: $96,560 - $117,008 The starting compensation range(s) for this role are listed above for a full-time employee (FTE) basis. Additional incentive cash and stock opportunities (based on eligibility) may be available.
