The Software Engineer develops, enhances, and maintains applications on the NiCE CXone platform using modern full-stack technologies. This role involves designing and developing scalable web applications using Java and Angular, implementing RESTful services, building responsive user interfaces, and ensuring software quality through BDD and automated testing practices. The engineer will collaborate with cross-functional Agile teams throughout the software development lifecycle, from design and implementation to testing, troubleshooting, and production support.
How will you make an impact?
- Design, develop, and maintain full-stack applications using Java, Spring Boot, and Angular.
- Develop scalable REST APIs and integrate them with modern Angular front-end applications.
- Implement features following Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) principles and contribute to automated test development.
- Translate business requirements into technical designs and implement high-quality software solutions.
- Participate in architecture discussions, design reviews, and technology evaluations.
- Write clean, maintainable, and reusable code while adhering to coding standards and best practices.
- Perform unit testing, integration testing, code reviews, and resolve defects identified during QA and production.
- Collaborate closely with Product Owners, UX designers, QA engineers, and other developers in an Agile environment.
- Troubleshoot application performance issues and optimize system scalability and reliability.
- Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and DevOps initiatives to improve software delivery.
- Support production issues and continuously improve application stability and performance.
Have you got what it takes?
- Strong experience in Java, J2EE, Spring Framework, Spring Boot, and Hibernate.
- Hands-on experience with Angular/REACT is mandatory.
- Strong knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and TypeScript.
- Experience developing RESTful APIs using JSON and REST.
- Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Programming principles and design patterns.
- Experience with relational databases using MySQL.
- Experience writing and maintaining automated integration tests using Cucumber BDD.
- Experience with unit testing using JUnit.
- Experience with GitHub version control systems.
- Exposure to Agile development methodologies.
- Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with Playwright for end-to-end UI automation.
- Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools, LLMs, and modern software engineering practices.
- Experience with Karma and Jasmine for Angular unit testing.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
- Knowledge of Microservices architecture.
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Exposure to AWS cloud platforms
- Experience with performance tuning and application troubleshooting.
- Exposure to JVM technologies.
- Self-driven with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
