Job Description
Minimum qualifications: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience. 2 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages (e.g. Java), or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree. 2 years of experience with Android application development. Preferred qualifications: 2 years of experience with data structures and algorithms. Experience working with one or more of the following: web or mobile application development, Unix/Linux environments, distributed and parallel systems, machine learning, information retrieval, natural language processing, networking, developing software systems, or security software development. Experience developing accessible technologies. Ability to learn and build great products. Strong communication/collaboration skills.

The Platforms and Devices team encompasses Google's various computing software platforms across environments (desktop, mobile, applications), as well as our first party devices and services that combine the best of Google AI, software, and hardware. Teams across this area research, design, and develop new technologies to make our user's interaction with computing faster and more seamless, building innovative experiences for our users around the world. Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and enhance software solutions and features under guidance. Ensure a high-level of quality implementing unit and integration tests. Participate in technical tasks with peers and stakeholders. Contribute to technical documentation. Triage technical issues and debug/track/resolve by analyzing the sources of issues and conducting investigation. Work with Product Management, UX, Quality Assurance (QA) and other cross-functional partners to define requirements and design engineering solutions to user problems.
