Job Description
Minimum qualifications: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience. 2 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages, or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree. 2 years of experience deploying, configuring, and troubleshooting infrastructure or large - scale distributed systems. Must possess an active Top Secret/SCI security clearance, and the willingness to undergo a polygraph. Preferred qualifications: Experience working with Linux/Unix environments, Kubernetes, and network administration (LAN/WAN). Experience with infrastructure-as-code and automation tools. Experience managing core hardware components such as network switches, firewalls, storage systems, and HSMs in a data center environment. Understanding of Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIG), group policies, and hardening practices for secure environments. Ability to effectively communicate technical timelines and collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams.

As a Software Engineer, you will plan and execute project work, deliver end-to-end tasks towards goals, and participate in design with guidance. You will focus on the practical deployment, configuration, and troubleshooting of air-gapped solutions like Google Distributed Cloud (GDC), while managing and installing core infrastructure technologies. Responsibilities Plan and execute project work, manage priorities, and drive progress. Participate in system design for cloud expansion with senior guidance. Deploy and configure air-gapped solutions like Google Distributed Cloud (GDC). Install and configure core infrastructure: network switches, firewalls, block/object storage, servers, and hardware security modules (HSMs). Identify deployment requirement issues and help the team course-correct. Triage infrastructure errors and address commonly escalated issues. Leverage scripting and automation to improve deployment, configuration, and management for air-gapped solutions, reducing systemic toil. Communicate deployment knowledge within and across teams. Identify stakeholders and contribute to cross-team collaboration, coordinating timelines and objectives for assigned components.
