ROLE OVERVIEW We are looking for a Software Engineer – iOS to build and evolve mission-critical features for iPhone, iPad, and Apple Watch. This candidate will develop accurate and reliable tracking features (including background execution, offline behavior, and intermittent connectivity), deliver polished user experiences, and partner closely with backend and product teams to ship secure, performant features at scale. RESPONSIBILITIES - Design, develop, and maintain high-performance iOS applications with a strong focus on reliability, scalability, and user safety. - Create intuitive interfaces and interaction layers using best practices, latest mobile application trends, given UI requirements and using latest tools to augment the user experience. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and release new features. - Work on real-time location and activity tracking features using Core Location, Core Motion, and Apple Watch APIs, including background tracking, geofencing, routing, and motion detection. - Write unit/integration tests to ensure application reliability, addressing edge cases and usability challenges. - Identify and resolve bugs while continuously improving application performance. - Stay updated with emerging iOS technologies and AI-assisted development tooling to improve productivity and user experience. - Proven track record for managing multiple projects simultaneously with attention to detail and deadlines. QUALIFICATIONS · Bachelors in IT/Computer Science/Software Engineering Proven 4 plus years of experience in applications development for iOS platforms (iPhone, iPads, Apple Watch) · Expertise with Swift and iOS fundamentals (concurrency/multithreading, memory management, performance profiling) · Understanding of Apple Human Interface Guidelines and building polished, accessible experiences · Good understanding of iOS architectural patterns (MVVM, MVP, VIPER) and writing maintainable, testable code · Hands-on experience with UIKit/SwiftUI, Auto Layout, persistence (Core Data/ORM), JSON, and modern dependency management · Experience with mapping frameworks such as MapKit (and/or Google Maps SDK for iOS) · Experience in activity/motion tracking is a plus: Core Location, Core Motion, GPS accuracy tuning, significant-change/region monitoring, background execution constraints, OS throttling, permissions, and intermittent connectivity handling · Strong experience with REST APIs (URLSession), authentication flows, and push notifications (APNs) · Solid experience with debugging, automated testing (unit/integration), CI/CD, and App Store release processes · Strong problem-solving skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment LOCATION: Islamabad COMPENSATION: Based on experience + bonus + benefits
