## About the Role:
This position is part of HARMAN Automotive’s Ready Care R&D organization, focused on delivering production‑ready in‑cabin camera features such as driver monitoring, and vital signs sensing that enhance safety and well‑being for drivers and passengers. We are seeking a hands-on and versatile engineer to develop camera-based in-cabin monitoring systems leveraging advanced AI techniques. You will work closely with domain experts, data scientists, embedded developers, and product teams to build complex machine learning systems that solve real-world problems in production.

**What You Will Do:**
- Develop and mature new technologies related to machine / deep learning
- Contribute to ML-based subsystems and/or components that are part of pre-production and production features
- Collaborate with subject matter experts and software developers to evaluate new model architectures, training approaches and compute resource requirements
- Support feasibility studies and KPI evaluations as needed

**What You Need to Be Successful:**
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant area: electronics, computer science, electrical engineering, etc
- 3+ years of relevant experience post UG
- Strong conceptual understanding in one or more application domains (image/video processing, computer vision, signal processing)
- Demonstrated knowledge of machine / deep learning algorithms
- Prior experience in optimizing AI models and deploying them on edge hardware
- Strong C++/python programming skills
- Familiarity with TensorFlow / Pytorch and relevant libraries for data science

**Bonus Points if You Have**
- Masters or PhD degree
- Experience authoring peer-reviewed publications and/or patents
- Experience in automotive AI projects
- Fundamentals of computer architecture and embedded systems, especially GPUs / NPUs / SoCs
- Experience in deploying and optimizing deep neural networks on mobile / edge platforms from Samsung, Qualcomm, NVIDIA, etc
