Job Description

SpotOn's Financial Services team is hiring a Senior Full-Stack Engineer to build scalable systems for payments, POS, and retail solutions used by businesses globally. The role sits within a fast-growing product company with a strong international presence, working on cutting-edge payments and customer loyalty platforms.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and build scalable backend systems for payments, POS, and retail solutions
  • Develop frontend interfaces using React and TypeScript
  • Work with message-based systems such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, and Redis
  • Design and maintain PostgreSQL and NoSQL (MongoDB) data stores
  • Mentor and coach junior and mid-level engineers
  • Participate in technical design discussions and coding rounds with hiring managers

Requirements

  • 6+ years of software development experience in Python and NodeJS (backend)
  • Strong hands-on experience with React (frontend) and TypeScript
  • Experience with message-based systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ, Redis)
  • Expertise in PostgreSQL and NoSQL databases (MongoDB)
  • Must come from product companies only
  • B.Tech or Dual Degree (B.Tech + M.Tech / Integrated MSc/MS) from a Tier-1 Engineering Institute, with exceptions for top-tier product company experience
  • Experience in FinTech, Payments, POS, or Retail products preferred
  • Experience mentoring and coaching teams preferred
  • Must be available for a face-to-face interview at the Whitefield, Bengaluru office
