About the Role Position Title : SQL Developer Corporate Title: Analyst Internal Title : Senior Analyst Reporting to : MGS Vice President Experience : 6-8 years Location : MGS - Bengaluru Job Profile Position details Purpose: To enhance the existing risk reporting data warehouses, tools and technologies. Roles and Responsibilities Responsibilities will include: - Contribute to the design and development of efficient data models, schemas and pipelines - Write complex SQL queries, stored procedures and functions to extract, transform and load data - Optimize query performance to ensure data integrity and consistency - Providing database technology subject matter expertise, collaborating with risk stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions - Implement data security measures and access controls aligned with firm’s governance policies - Monitor and troubleshoot data pipelines; identify performance bottlenecks and implement solutions - Participate in code reviews and document change made in the required format - Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated testing, deployment and monitoring of data solutions Job Requirements: Bachelors’ Degree (or foreign equivalent degree) in Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. Experience in the financial services or banking industry is preferred. Essential - Advanced proficiency in SQL including stored procedures, views, triggers and functions - Solid knowledge of data warehousing principles, dimensional modelling and star schema design - Experience working with large data warehouses including performance tuning, query optimization and execution plan analysis - Familiarity with data integration tools (SSIS, ADF) and techniques (ELT, ETL) - Strong handon SSIS development experience. - Hands-on experience with reporting tools such as SSRS and Power BI. Preferred - Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g. Python, Powershell) for data processing and automation - Experience of working with risk systems within a financial institution - Experience with multiple database platforms e.g. SQL Server, Oracle and SnowFlake - Experience of using Control-M or similar orchestration tools - Familiarity with Agile methodologies and DevOps practices.
