Our partner is looking for a Sr. Software Engineer, Developer Platform (Full-Stack) based in the United States. The role provides strong ownership, visibility, and the chance to influence technology decisions across the organization. ### Accountabilities - Design, architect, and implement scalable full-stack solutions that improve platform performance, reliability, and user experience. - Lead technical initiatives across frontend and backend systems, making strategic decisions around architecture, technology investments, and engineering practices. - Build and maintain developer platforms, frameworks, and services that enable engineering teams to deliver products efficiently. - Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and guidance to engineers by promoting strong coding standards, design patterns, and best practices. - Collaborate with product managers, designers, engineers, analytics teams, and other stakeholders to define requirements, validate solutions, and deliver impactful features. - Participate in product discovery by assessing technical feasibility, exploring user needs, and supporting experimentation through prototypes. - Advocate for platform improvements, technical priorities, and engineering needs across the broader organization. - Develop and improve observability practices, including monitoring, logging, alerting, and performance tracking to ensure system reliability. - Identify technical bottlenecks and implement improvements to enhance scalability, security, maintainability, and performance. - Break down complex initiatives into actionable tasks and drive successful execution across teams. - Establish and improve engineering workflows, CI/CD processes, testing practices, and development tools. - Create and maintain technical documentation related to architecture, systems, and development processes. - Conduct code reviews, contribute to knowledge-sharing initiatives, and promote continuous improvement across the engineering organization. - Support hiring efforts by participating in technical interviews and helping onboard new engineers. ## Requirements - 5+ years of professional software engineering experience with a strong track record of delivering production-level applications. - 3+ years of experience designing, developing, and maintaining backend distributed systems. - 3+ years of experience working with microservice architectures and scalable service-based systems. - Strong full-stack development expertise with TypeScript, including experience with React or similar frontend frameworks and Node.js or similar backend technologies. - Proven experience building scalable platforms, frameworks, or systems that are used by other engineering teams. - Strong understanding of software architecture, system design, performance optimization, and engineering best practices. - Experience with agile development methodologies, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and modern software delivery practices. - Ability to manage complex priorities, make decisions independently, and operate effectively in ambiguous environments. - Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to understand developer needs and translate them into effective technical solutions. - Strong problem-solving mindset with the ability to balance exploration, innovation, and decisive execution. - Experience with Next.js, NestJS, developer tooling, or framework development is a plus. - Familiarity with Kubernetes, AWS, DevOps practices, or cloud infrastructure is beneficial. - Interest in staying current with emerging technologies and applying innovative solutions to improve engineering platforms. ## Benefits - Competitive salary and equity compensation. - Salary range: $170K – $190K. - Unlimited paid time off, company holidays, and quarterly mental health days. - Comprehensive healthcare benefits, including medical, dental, and vision coverage. - Paid parental leave. - Employee Stock Purchase Program (ESPP). - 401(k) benefits with employer matching contributions. - Remote-first work environment with flexibility. - Team offsites and opportunities to connect with colleagues. - Opportunity to contribute to meaningful technology solutions that improve access to personalized healthcare experiences. - Inclusive workplace culture focused on diversity, ethics, wellness, and belonging.
