Job Description

Senior Transportation Engineer – Roadway Location: Cincinnati Employment Type: Full-Time Drive the Future of Transportation with Fishbeck Are you a seasoned roadway engineer with a passion for infrastructure and mobility? Join Fishbeck as a Senior Transportation Engineer and take the lead on impactful road and freeway design projects. This is your opportunity to mentor emerging talent, collaborate with talented staff, and contribute to innovative transportation solutions across Michigan and beyond. What You’ll Work On - Lead plan production for roadway and freeway design using MicroStation/Geopak and/or AutoCAD/Civil 3D. - Collaborate with MDOT, local agencies, consultants, and contractors. - Develop project budgets, schedules, and technical proposals. - Apply engineering expertise and specialized software to solve complex transportation challenges. - Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality design services. - Prepare quantities and construction cost estimates for bidding. - Support storm sewer drainage design, pavement markings, signing plans, and maintenance of traffic plans. What We’re Looking For - Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering - PE license required. - 8+ years of experience in roadway engineering, especially with MDOT and local agency projects. - Proficiency in MicroStation/ORD is essential. - Familiarity with AutoCAD/Civil 3D, HEC-RAS, HY8, and StormCAD is a plus. - Strong communication and computer skills. - Desire to coordinate and collaborate with junior staff - Ability to travel to project and client sites as needed.
