Job Description
Kendal at Hanover (KaH) is a not-for-profit continuing care retirement community and home to 400+ residents, supported by 300 staff members.
Kendal at Hanover has an exciting career opportunity on its Finance Team. The new position of Staff Accountantwill report directly to the Chief Financial Officer and work closely with other finance team members and organizational leaders to support the current and future needs of the financial operations of the organization. This role is primarily responsible for performing a variety of accounting duties, including GL maintenance, reconciliations, month end close, financial reporting, fixed asset accounting, budget support, capital planning support, audit preparation, and some financial analysis. There is strong professional growth potential for a successful candidate, with opportunities to expand responsibilities, develop leaderships skills, and prepare for potential advancement.
Here's what we're looking for in a successful candidate:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration, or equivalent directly applicable professional experience;
- At least 2 to 4 years of professional accounting experience (healthcare and/or non-profit sector experience a plus);
- Detail-oriented, motivated by accuracy and timely completion of goals;
- Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and demands;
- Ability and willingness to be an active, contributing part of a team, and community;
- Eager to learn and grow professionally;
- Experience with Sage Intacct, UKG, PointClick Care is a plus.
Job Type: Full-time (40 hours per week)
Salary Range:$65,000 to $77,000 annually (commensurate with experience)
Work Location: In person
