Job Description
Job Title: Staff Accountant
Job Pay Range: $66,000-$71,000/annual salary

Do you have a high attention to detail and love a good spreadsheet? If so, consider applying to be our next Staff Accountant. As a member of the Accounting team, this person will apply principles of accounting to analyze financial information and prepare financial reports.

What you will be doing:
Assists with the bi-weekly processing of tips and service charge for payroll.
Reconciles, file, and pays Broadmoor Sales and Use Tax.
Prepares both standard and non-standard monthly entries and runs Financial Statements.
Reconciles the fixed asset subsidiary ledger to balance the associated fixed asset GL accounts.
Prepares Bank Reconciliations.
Reconciles balance sheet accounts monthly. Reviews with Controller.
Assists with the adaptations of worksheets to new/updated software systems.

What we are looking for:
Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university with a concentration or emphasis on Accounting/Finance; or four years related experience and/or training demonstrating competency in related field.
Experience with Microsoft Office suite with an emphasis on Excel, computerized accounting systems (JDE/Oracle is helpful) and electronic point of sale systems.
The ability to:
Apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
To deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
To read and analyze financial reports and respond to common inquiries from internal managers/directors
To effectively present information to top management and regulatory agencies.
To define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
To interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
Willingness to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
Enthusiastic, friendly, and energetic team member who works well with others
Strong interpersonal communication skills
