This is a hybrid role based in our Palo Alto office and will require you to be in person Tuesdays and Thursdays. **About the Job:** - Build Android applications, utilizing Kotlin and managing large codebases and maintaining clean, structured code that is easier to understand, modify, and debug - Conduct performance optimization for large, complex applications to provide a smooth user experience and design applications with scalability in mind - Analyze application-related security incidents, perform root cause analysis, and contribute to forensic investigations in incident response efforts - Create technical design documents for Android software solutions and conduct code reviews - Confer with the IOS team, Product Managers, and Grindr’s Quality Assurance team on software system design and maintenance to build and maintain a fast, reliable app; and Consult directly with quality engineers to identify test cases and devise efficient, scalable testing processes to allow Grindr to run weekly releases. **Role Requirements:** - Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science or related field, plus two (2) years of post-baccalaureate experience as a Staff Android Engineer, Senior Software Engineer, or in a related position. - Experience must include designing and architecting features in Android applications, performing Sanity testing for Android applications to maintain application reliability, and using Kotlin, Statsig, Firebase Cursor, and Github. **Benefits and Perks:** - **Health, Dental & Vision** Full premium coverage for you.
