Minimum qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience. 5 years of software development experience. Experience with PostgreSQL or other databases, including database internals and administration. Experience in designing systems and building managed services for databases or storage. Preferred qualifications: Experience in C++ programming and SQL. Experience with query processing and query optimization techniques. Understanding of relational databases and database Internals. Responsibilities Drive the technical enhancement and maintenance of the Cloud SQL Postgres service while actively contributing code and expertise to the open-source PostgreSQL community. Lead technical projects from planning to delivery while helping to define the team's long-term goal and engineering strategy. Collaborate with product managers, customers, and partner teams to define product roadmaps and contribute to broader GCP database initiatives.
