If you're ready to drive change and make history, apply now! #### What you’ll do As the Staff Software Engineer for Scout Motor’s Engineer for Scout Motor’s digital products, you will be responsible for leading a team of highly skilled software engineers and driving the development of digital solutions for our customers and business partners. Some of the key products as part of digital portfolio are – order management, customer management, marketing, production, inventory and planning optimization, loyalty, merchandise, servicing and repairs, mobile apps, vehicle connectivity, and more. You will work with engineering managers, senior engineers, and cross-functional partners to design the technical underpinnings of the product. At the same time, you’ll have plenty of opportunities to be hands-on building key systems and will be directly responsible for the successful delivery of complex and large-scale technical efforts as well acting as a technical mentor and leader for other engineers. Experience with a mobile app development framework like React Native is a huge plus. - Experience in identifying, mitigating, and preventing common web application security vulnerabilities, and strong command of security best practices, secure coding principles, and integrating security into the development lifecycle is required - Expertise in micro-frontend architecture and its practical application in large-scale systems - Proven ability to drive the architectural direction for large-scale front-end systems, with extensive experience building complex applications that consume CRUD operations in GraphQL, RESTful, and/or RPC APIs, ensuring long-term scalability, maintainability, and performance - Experience building and scaling multiple applications using a micro-frontend architecture - Deep knowledge of UI/UX design principles, responsive/mobile-first design, SEO, accessibility (WCAG), and performance optimization. - Exposure to analytics, experimentation platforms, and feature flagging tools. - Experience interfacing with an IAM / SSO system like Azure, Okta, or Auth0 - Deep understanding of robust branching strategies, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing frameworks (Playwright, Cypress), and cloud environments (AWS preferred). - Contribution to technical roadmaps and strategic planning, ensuring front-end initiatives align with overall business objectives and technology vision. - Experience operating in start-up settings, launching 0 to 1 product - Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, with a passion for finding elegant solutions to complex challenges - **Optional***:* - Prior experience working experience in a manufacturing or automotive environment - Experience building mobile apps or backend services - Familiarity with: AWS systems - An understanding of building data pipes and full-stack development - Soft skills: Time management and collaboration #### What you'll gain The benefits of joining Scout include the chance to build products and a company from the ground up.
