This is an ideal opportunity for an experienced engineer passionate about building robust systems and enabling world-class developer experiences. ### Accountabilities: As a Staff Software Engineer, you will provide technical leadership for a large-scale macOS cloud platform, driving architecture, implementation, reliability, and operational excellence. You will collaborate with engineering teams and stakeholders to deliver scalable solutions while raising technical standards across the organization. - Design, develop, test, and deliver high-quality software solutions that scale across multiple services and platforms. - Take ownership of the systems you build, ensuring maintainability, reliability, security, and long-term operational health. - Define technical direction for the macOS platform and drive architecture decisions from concept through implementation and ongoing improvement. - Write architecture proposals, technical documentation, and experimental solutions to validate new approaches. - Design and implement APIs and platform capabilities that enable seamless integration between software components. - Build and improve CI/CD workflows, automation pipelines, and developer infrastructure. - Partner with cross-functional engineering teams and stakeholders to align technical solutions with product goals, business priorities, and cost considerations. - Establish testing strategies, success metrics, and quality standards to ensure reliable and performant systems. - Mentor engineers through technical guidance, code reviews, knowledge sharing, and collaboration. - Participate in operational excellence initiatives, including incident response, observability improvements, and on-call rotations. - Use debugging tools, telemetry, and performance analysis techniques to identify issues and optimize systems. - Drive technical roadmap initiatives by evaluating emerging technologies and improving platform capabilities. ## Requirements: The ideal candidate is a highly experienced software engineer with strong expertise in large-scale systems, cloud infrastructure, and technical leadership.
