## Job Description
Renesas is seeking a motivated and experienced Staff Test Engineer to support test development activities for new products within the Performance Computing Power (PCP) business unit in Catania, Italy.
This role is a solid individual contributor position requiring hands-on expertise in ATE development, product debugging, and data analysis. The candidate will work closely with senior engineers to develop efficient and reliable test solutions, contributing to successful product bring-up and production ramp.
You will be involved in innovative power management products, including multiphase controllers, smart power stages, and 48v system power regulators.
- Develop and support ATE test programs and hardware for analog, mixed-signal, and power management products
- Contribute to test plan definition and implementation, ensuring coverage and efficiency
- Execute product bring-up, characterization, and validation activities
- Perform debug and failure analysis on ATE and bench setups
- Analyze test data to improve yield, repeatability, and test robustness
- Collaborate with Design, Product Engineering, and Operations teams to resolve technical issues
- Support production ramp and sustaining activities
- Contribute to test cost optimization and test time reduction initiatives
- Follow and apply established DFT and test methodologies
## Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering (Master’s is a plus)
- 5–8+ years of experience in ATE test engineering or related field
- Experience with ATE platforms (Advantest 93K, Teradyne, SPEA, or similar)
- Basic knowledge of DFT concepts and production test flows
- Experience in debugging analog and mixed-signal systems
- Familiarity with lab equipment (oscilloscope, multimeter, spectrum analyzer)
- Programming skills in C/C++, Python, or similar
- Understanding of data analysis and basic statistical methods

## Additional Information
The expected annual pay range for this position is €47,000–€64,000. Please note that the final offer will depend on factors such as geographic location, relevant experience, and the candidate’s skill set. This role is also eligible for a bonus.
