About the Role:
Drives improvement and corrective actions in the quality of components sourced from external suppliers. Provides technical support in the selection of suppliers. Develops acceptance criteria for materials. Monitors supplier performance to drive supplier corrective action, manufacturing yield issues and field failures.
Your Responsibilities Include:
- Assess potential new suppliers for technical, quality and manufacturing capabilities. Provides technical support for the introduction of components from a new supplier.
- Generate and maintains incoming inspection procedures. Train inspectors to these procedures.
- Develop and/or source inspection tools and equipment.
- Assist in generating component specifications.
- Generate test protocols, monitor testing, issue qualification test reports and approve components for use in products.
- Provide input to Design Engineering on new component technology and assist in component selection with quality and reliability analysis.
- Analyses incoming material defects. Dispositions and drives corrective action as necessary. Communicates issues to suppliers.
- Review new design specifications and provide input from component quality and manufacturability perspective.
- Investigate field failures related to supplier materials. Develop corrective action plan when necessary.
- Support New Product Developments and review documentation related to suppliers and components.
What We’re Looking For:
- Bachelor’s degree in Material Science, Chemical, Industrial, Electronic, Biotechnology, Electromechanical, Engineering or related field.
- English Level desired: Advanced or above
- At least 3 years of experience in similar position.
- Desired knowledge: ASQ certification, problem solving and strong communication skills.
Key Skills & Qualifications
- Provide dedicated support and guidance to Guardian Project, ensuring timely issue resolution and a positive customer experience.
- Review, analyze, and improve operational procedures to enhance efficiency and compliance.
- Manage supplier relationships, addressing inquiries and resolving quality-related issues in a timely manner.
- Handle and coordinate escalations, driving effective solutions across cross-functional teams.
- Act as the Single Point of Contact (SPOC) between Business Units (BU) and suppliers.
- Experience managing and resolving SCARs (Supplier Corrective Action Requests) and NCPs (Non-Conforming Products/Processes).
- Proven experience in supplier pipeline management and supplier performance oversight.
- Strong problem-solving and root cause analysis capabilities.
- Continuous improvement mindset with Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt certification or equivalent methodology experience.
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and collaboration skills.
