Job Description

We are looking for a Lead Java Backend / Full Stack Developer to join our team on a contract basis, working primarily on backend microservices with a portion of time on Angular frontend development. This role is open to candidates in Whippany, NJ or Texas, and is limited to local candidates. Only H4 EAD visa holders will be considered.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop backend microservices using Java and Spring Boot
  • Build and maintain REST APIs and backend system architecture
  • Contribute to frontend development using Angular (~25% of role)
  • Work with SQL/NoSQL databases and Kafka messaging systems
  • Participate in CI/CD pipelines and Agile ceremonies
  • Collaborate on cloud infrastructure and containerized deployments

Requirements

  • 8+ years of Java development experience
  • Strong experience with Java 8/11/17, Spring Boot, and Microservices
  • Solid REST API and backend system design skills
  • Experience with Angular for frontend development
  • Proficiency with SQL/NoSQL databases
  • Experience with Kafka or other messaging systems
  • Familiarity with CI/CD and Agile methodologies
  • Exposure to AWS/Azure/GCP preferred
  • Docker and Kubernetes experience preferred
  • Must hold valid H4 EAD work authorization
  • Must be a local candidate to Whippany, NJ or Texas
