Job Description

SYSMIC is looking for a Software Developer Intern to work closely with its design and development teams building, optimizing, and maintaining websites and web applications. The intern will implement features using custom code and WordPress frameworks while ensuring code quality through functional testing, bug fixing, and cross-browser optimization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in building and updating web features using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and WordPress
  • Conduct functional, usability, and compatibility testing on code and existing platforms
  • Identify, debug, and resolve front-end inconsistencies and performance bottlenecks
  • Perform cross-browser and cross-device development and testing for full responsiveness
  • Collaborate with designers and senior developers to translate wireframes into functional web pages
  • Maintain clean code practices and document bug fixes, test results, and development workflows

Requirements

  • Strong foundational understanding of HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript
  • Basic to intermediate knowledge of WordPress development (themes, plugins, configuration)
  • Familiarity with basic programming logic, debugging, and troubleshooting
  • Attention to detail and analytical thinking
  • Good communication and documentation skills
  • Recently completed degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related engineering field
  • Prior personal projects or coursework in web development is an added advantage
