Job Description

The Specialist Talent Acquisition is responsible for full cycle recruitment, employing sourcing strategies and developing new initiatives. The Specialist plays a critical role in ensuring and identifying best in class talent by networking through industry contacts, developing key relationships with association memberships, and through extensive proactive sourcing. The position will help build a talent pipeline for the organization to ensure we are able to fill critical positions in a proactive manner. This position will also act as a representative of the Talent Acquisition leadership team in some circumstances. Job Overview / Purpose The Specialist Talent Acquisition is responsible for full cycle recruitment, employing sourcing strategies and developing new initiatives. The Specialist plays a critical role in ensuring and identifying best in class talent by networking through industry contacts, developing key relationships with association memberships, and through extensive proactive sourcing. The position will help build a talent pipeline for the organization to ensure we are able to fill critical positions in a proactive manner. This position will also act as a representative of the Talent Acquisition leadership team in some circumstances. Key Accountabilities - Conduct a full cycle Talent Acquisition process and support pipelining activities - Maintain and distribute Talent Acquisition related reports that drive key metrics - Provide support to all levels and areas of the organization with respect to recruitment initiatives - Coordinate job postings and talent attraction materials - Conduct extensive passive sourcing strategies utilizing various tools and Boolean parameters - Identify unique and non-traditional sources for finding candidates including actively engaging with identified external partners for targeted candidate groups - Conduct efficient phone screens, in-person interviews, and facilitate the offer process, including reference checks, salary negotiations, and closing of candidates - Source passive candidates through networking, and direct sourcing - Partner with assigned corporate/residences hiring managers to determine current and future hiring needs - Participate in select online and/or in person events as necessary - Act as a SME in consulting our business partners and provide a world class candidate experience - Participate in ongoing Talent Acquisition process improvement activities - Participate in the development of employee targeted marketing materials and candidate attraction - Participating in or leading regional activities as required including: - Localization of talent acquisition programs for specific regions - Fully understanding the standard processes and advising on local nuances - Consulting with Sr. Director on previously underutilized candidate sources in specific regions Qualifications Education: - Post-secondary education or Diploma in Human Resources and or a related field Experience: - 5+ years’ experience in full cycle recruitment and sourcing - Previous experience in a lead recruitment role (senior recruiter, team leader, etc.) requiring managing of escalations Skills & Abilities: - Strong communications (oral and written) in both English and French - Strong level of business acumen to act as the main point of contact for hiring managers - Knowledge and experience in a wide range of current recruiting policies, practices, and trends and the ability to grasp new technologies - Strong experience with Boolean sourcing and direct recruiting - Experience working within an ATS and/or a CRM, ideally ORC - Ability to manage priorities in rapidly changing environments Working Conditions - Work requires a high degree of mental effort to analyze situations and verify information - Work is generally performed in an office environment - Extensive periods of time spent on calls or video meetings Special Requirements - Travel may be required within the assigned business platform - The satisfactory outcome of a professional reference check and a criminal record check Direct Reports N/A ### About the Company At Chartwell, we’re all about Making People’s Lives BETTER: the lives of our residents and their families, and the lives of our employees.
