Position Summary
The Technical Recruiter is responsible for developing and executing recruiting strategies that attract high-quality HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical professionals. This role focuses primarily on field operations positions and partners closely with operational leaders to ensure staffing needs are met efficiently while maintaining exceptional candidate experience.
The ideal candidate understands the skilled trades labor market and excels at proactive sourcing, networking, and relationship-based recruiting.
Key Responsibilities
- Recruit experienced HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical service professionals.
- Develop and maintain pipelines of passive candidates through sourcing, networking, referrals, and community outreach.
- Partner with General Managers to understand workforce needs and hiring priorities.
- Conduct phone screens, interviews, and candidate assessments.
- Coordinate and manage the full recruitment lifecycle from sourcing through onboarding.
- Develop relationships with trade schools, apprenticeship programs, military transition organizations, and industry associations.
- Attend hiring events, career fairs, and industry networking opportunities.
- Create compelling job advertisements and employment branding campaigns.
- Maintain recruiting metrics including time-to-fill, source effectiveness, quality of hire, and candidate conversion rates.
- Support employee referral initiatives and passive recruiting campaigns.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local employment laws.
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience.
- Strong experience recruiting skilled trades, construction, manufacturing, or industrial positions.
- Proven success sourcing passive candidates.
- Strong interviewing and relationship-building skills.
- Experience using applicant tracking systems and sourcing platforms.
- Ability to manage multiple requisitions in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Preferred
- Experience recruiting HVAC, plumbing, electrical, refrigeration, or commercial mechanical professionals.
- Knowledge of ServiceTitan or field service operations a plus.
- Experience supporting multi-location operations.
- Military recruiting experience.
- SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, SPHR, AIRS, or LinkedIn Recruiter certification a plus.

The starting salary range for this position is $72,000 - $83,000 annually. This is the range of the base pay only, it does not include other components that make up the total compensation package of the position. If offered a position, your total compensation package will be determined by experience, location, skills, and/or education which may result in a total compensation package that falls outside of the provided range.
