Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop robust backend applications using Python
• Build and consume RESTful API web services
• Perform data manipulation and analysis using Pandas and data frames
• Write advanced SQL queries for reporting, troubleshooting, and data analysis
• Work with structured and semi-structured data formats including XML and JSON
• Conduct R&D using AI including prompt engineering, model/tool evaluation, and integrating AI capabilities into workflows
• Rapidly prototype AI-assisted solutions and validate outcomes
• Understand and utilize Docker containers in the development process
• Use CI/CD pipelines and related tools (JIRA, Jenkins) to build and deploy applications
• Collaborate using Git and participate in collaborative development workflows
• Explain technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Requirements

• 7–10 years of professional software development experience
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field (or equivalent experience)
• Strong professional experience with Python backend development
• Proficiency with build/test tools: Pytest, Unittest, Gradle, FitNesse
• Strong experience building and consuming RESTful API web services
• Experience with data manipulation and analysis using Pandas
• Outstanding database skills with strong understanding of RDBMS (e.g., MS SQL) and data modeling
• Ability to write advanced SQL queries for reporting, troubleshooting, and data analysis
• Experience working with XML and JSON data formats
• Understanding of Docker containers in the development process
• Ability to use CI/CD pipelines and related tools (JIRA, Jenkins)
• Experience with Git and collaborative development workflows
• Proven ability to perform R&D using AI including evaluating AI-assisted approaches and prompt engineering
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and technical skills
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Java experience is a plus
• Experience with BI tools such as Tableau (preferred)
• Past experience with Snowflake data warehouse (preferred)
• Java proficiency, particularly for AI/ML development and automation (preferred)
• Flexible and versatile; able to adapt quickly to new environments and work across projects
