Job Description

We are hiring an experienced GCP Data Engineer to design and build data ingestion and ETL/ELT pipelines for a core banking client, working across Google Cloud Platform services including BigQuery, Cloud Composer, Data Fusion, and Dataproc.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines on Google Cloud Platform
  • Develop and optimize data ingestion workflows using Cloud Composer, Data Fusion, and Dataproc
  • Write and maintain BigQuery datasets and optimized SQL queries
  • Provision and manage cloud infrastructure using Terraform
  • Develop data processing scripts and automation using Python
  • Manage source code and collaborate using Git
  • Support core banking data engineering initiatives

Requirements

  • 8-10 years of experience in data engineering
  • Strong hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
  • Experience with Google Cloud Storage (GCS) and BigQuery
  • Experience with Cloud Composer, Data Fusion, and Dataproc
  • Proficiency in Python
  • Experience with Terraform for infrastructure as code
  • Experience with Git version control
  • Strong understanding of ETL/ELT and data ingestion concepts
  • Google Data Engineering certification or equivalent experience preferred
  • Experience with TWS or enterprise job scheduling tools is a plus
  • SQL optimization experience in BigQuery is a plus
  • Core banking domain experience is a plus
