Job Description

This role supports an engineering team responsible for telemetry collection, data processing, and debugging tools for next-generation Android-based laptop hardware. The position involves two primary workstreams: development and maintenance of Java-based data processing systems and distributed caching pipelines, and enhancement of a Python-based platform that supports AI-assisted debugging and diagnostic agents. The role requires effective collaboration across Data Scientists, Data Analysts, and Android Telemetry Engineering teams, with strong communication and stakeholder management skills considered essential for success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain Java-based data processing systems and distributed caching pipelines
  • Enhance a Python-based platform supporting AI-assisted debugging and diagnostic agents
  • Support telemetry collection, data processing, and debugging tools for next-generation Android-based laptop hardware
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Data Scientists, Data Analysts, and Android Telemetry Engineering teams
  • Manage stakeholders and communicate effectively across multiple engineering teams

Requirements

  • 12 years of software engineering experience
  • Proficiency in both Java and Python
  • Solid system design and software architecture experience
  • Strong problem-solving and engineering fundamentals
  • Experience with distributed caching systems and data processing pipelines
  • Familiarity with telemetry collection and debugging tools
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Must be W2 employee — US Citizen, Green Card holder, or H4 EAD authorized
