Job Description
Veridian Tech Solutions is hiring an experienced Python AI Engineer to design and build scalable backend applications, data processing pipelines, and AI-powered solutions. This is a full-time, permanent role open across our Sunrise, FL, Charlotte, NC, and Jersey City, NJ locations. The ideal candidate brings strong Python development experience along with expertise in databases, APIs, automation, and modern AI technologies, and will provide ongoing production support within an Agile team.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and build scalable backend applications and services in Python
- Develop and maintain data processing/ETL pipelines using Pandas
- Build and maintain REST APIs using FastAPI or Flask
- Develop and integrate AI/ML and Generative AI/LLM powered solutions
- Write and maintain automated tests using PyTest
- Manage containerization and CI/CD pipelines using Docker, Git, and Jenkins
- Build and support event-driven applications using Kafka or RabbitMQ
- Provide production support and collaborate within an Agile team
Requirements
- 8+ years of professional Python development experience
- Strong experience with PostgreSQL and SQL optimization
- Hands-on experience with Pandas for ETL and data processing
- Experience writing automated tests using PyTest
- Experience building REST APIs using FastAPI or Flask
- Experience with Docker, Git, Jenkins, and CI/CD pipelines
- Experience with Kafka or RabbitMQ for event-driven applications
- Experience with AI/ML, LLMs, TensorFlow, or Generative AI
- Comfortable working in Linux/Unix environments
- Experience working in Agile teams and providing production support
