Job Description

100% Remote contract opportunity for a PHP Full Stack Developer with strong, recent financial or insurance industry experience. Candidate must have valid US work authorization (H4 EAD, GC EAD, or US Citizen). The role involves server-side development primarily in PHP alongside modern front-end technologies, building and maintaining RESTful APIs, and working within Git-based, Agile team workflows.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain server-side applications primarily using PHP
  • Build front-end interfaces using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and TypeScript
  • Design and build RESTful APIs and integrate with REST or SOAP services
  • Write automated unit and integration tests
  • Work with SQL/MySQL databases for data storage and queries
  • Collaborate using Git-based version control workflows
  • Apply secure coding practices including input validation and data protection
  • Collaborate with product teams using Atlassian tools

Requirements

  • Strong, recent hands-on PHP development experience
  • Experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and TypeScript
  • Experience with SQL/MySQL
  • Experience with REST or SOAP API integrations
  • 2+ years of experience with version control systems (Git)
  • 2+ years of experience writing automated unit or integration tests
  • Experience designing and building RESTful APIs
  • Experience with secure coding practices (preferred)
  • Experience with banking, credit union, or fintech systems (preferred)
  • Experience with Atlassian tools and Git-based workflows (preferred)
  • Must be authorized to work in the US: H4 EAD, GC EAD, or US Citizen
