Job Description

Long-term engagement supporting the NY Office for People With Developmental Disabilities (OPWDD) on a state government technology initiative. The consultant will work within a multi-tier Java environment, building and maintaining enterprise applications backed by a large Oracle database, and will collaborate with the client's technical team over a 30-month project.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain server-side Java web applications in a multi-tier architecture
  • Write and optimize Oracle queries, stored procedures, functions, packages, and triggers
  • Design and modify database objects across a schema of 20+ tables
  • Develop and maintain UI components using Java Server Faces (JSF)
  • Implement data persistence layers using Java Persistence API (JPA)
  • Build interactive front-end features using JavaScript and jQuery

Requirements

  • 84 months of experience building server-side Java web applications in a multi-tier environment using JDK 1.5 or higher
  • 60 months of experience writing Oracle 10g+ queries, stored procedures, functions, packages, and triggers
  • 48 months of experience in database design and object creation/modification for databases with 20+ tables in Oracle 10g or higher
  • 48 months of experience programming with Java Server Faces (JSF)
  • 36 months of experience programming with Java Persistence API (JPA)
  • 36 months of experience with JavaScript and jQuery
  • 11+ years of overall relevant experience
  • Must be eligible to work without sponsorship restrictions (No GC/GC EAD accepted; no new H-1B sponsorship)
