Job Description

We are hiring an experienced Java Full Stack Developer with a strong backend focus for a contract engagement at a client site in Cleveland, OH. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, and RESTful APIs, complemented by frontend proficiency in React JS or Angular. This role requires hands-on experience in enterprise-grade application development, CI/CD pipelines, containerized deployments, and cloud infrastructure. A background in Banking or Financial Services is strongly preferred. The engagement is 6–12 months in duration with a pay rate of $55/hour on C2C.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop RESTful APIs, SOAP web services, and Microservices architecture
  • Build and maintain backend systems using Core Java and Spring Boot
  • Develop frontend features using React JS, Angular, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and ES6
  • Work with relational databases (Oracle, SQL) and NoSQL databases (MongoDB)
  • Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab, and Bitbucket
  • Build and deploy containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes
  • Support cloud infrastructure and modern application deployment strategies
  • Mentor junior developers and drive technical solutions
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and business users
  • Follow Agile methodologies including Scrum and Kanban
  • Ensure scalability, security, and performance of enterprise applications
  • Participate in full SDLC including design, development, testing, and deployment

Requirements

  • 8–10+ years of hands-on Full Stack Development experience
  • Strong backend development experience with Java and API development
  • Proven experience designing and developing RESTful APIs, SOAP services, and Microservices architecture
  • Strong understanding of Core Java concepts and software development best practices
  • Hands-on experience with frontend technologies including React JS, Angular, HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, and ES6
  • Extensive experience with relational databases such as Oracle and SQL
  • Strong MongoDB experience (Mandatory)
  • Experience building scalable and secure enterprise applications
  • Hands-on experience with source code management tools including GitLab and Bitbucket
  • Strong knowledge of DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and automation
  • Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and containerized deployments
  • Exposure to cloud infrastructure and modern application deployment strategies
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills in fast-paced development environments
  • Experience working in Agile environments including Scrum and Kanban methodologies
  • Leadership experience with mentoring junior developers and driving technical solutions
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Minimum 5+ years of Banking or Financial Services industry experience preferred
