Job Description

We are looking for a Senior Java Full Stack Developer with strong React experience to join our team on a 12-month contract engagement based on-site in Calgary, AB, Canada. The ideal candidate will have 8+ years of total IT experience and a solid command of both Java backend development and React-based frontend engineering. This is an immediate start opportunity requiring a local candidate.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop robust Java-based backend services and APIs
  • Build and maintain responsive React-based frontend applications
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features
  • Participate in code reviews and ensure code quality standards are met
  • Integrate front-end and back-end systems effectively
  • Troubleshoot and resolve performance and scalability issues
  • Contribute to architectural decisions and technical documentation

Requirements

  • 8+ years of total IT experience
  • Strong proficiency in Java (Spring Boot, Spring MVC, or similar frameworks)
  • Strong experience with React.js for frontend development
  • Experience with RESTful API design and development
  • Proficiency in SQL and/or NoSQL databases
  • Experience with version control systems (Git)
  • Knowledge of microservices architecture
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills
  • Must be a local candidate in Calgary, AB, Canada
  • Ability to work on-site
