Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Java-based microservices using Spring Boot and JPA
• Implement and manage messaging pipelines using Kafka
• Deploy and manage applications on Tomcat and container platforms (OpenShift/Kubernetes)
• Perform SQL performance tuning on Oracle/MS SQL databases
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, Jenkins, and SonarQube
• Monitor application performance using Splunk and related tools
• Integrate APIs via Apigee and support SOAP web services (JAXB/JAX-WS)
• Contribute to test automation efforts using Selenium
• Drive technical initiatives and POCs leveraging Generative AI

Requirements

• 7+ years of software engineering experience
• Strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, JUnit, JPA, and microservices architecture
• Hands-on experience with Kafka, Tomcat, and Oracle/MS SQL
• Experience with SQL performance tuning
• Experience with container platforms (OpenShift/Kubernetes)
• Experience with CI/CD and DevOps tools (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, SonarQube, Splunk)
• Experience with API integrations (Apigee) preferred
• Experience with SOAP web services (JAXB/JAX-WS) preferred
• Experience with test automation using Selenium preferred
• Must be currently based in Phoenix, AZ (onsite, locals only)
