Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain robust backend applications using Java and Spring Boot
• Build and deploy scalable Microservices-based architectures
• Develop RESTful APIs and integrate with internal and external systems
• Work with cloud platforms and cloud-native services to build highly available solutions
• Utilize Vertex AI and AI-powered tools such as GitHub Copilot to enhance development productivity and solution delivery
• Implement event-driven architectures using Kafka for real-time data processing and messaging
• Design and optimize database solutions using SQL and NoSQL technologies
• Collaborate with DevOps teams to automate CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and GitHub
• Participate in architecture discussions, code reviews, and technical design sessions
• Troubleshoot production issues and ensure application performance, scalability, and security
• Follow best practices for coding standards, testing, documentation, and deployment

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in Java backend development
• Strong hands-on experience with Java 8/11/17 and Spring Boot
• Extensive experience in developing and deploying Microservices architectures
• Good understanding of Cloud concepts and cloud-native application development
• Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Vertex AI is preferred
• Proficiency in GitHub for source code management and collaboration
• Experience with Jenkins for CI/CD pipeline development and automation
• Knowledge of AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot
• Strong experience with relational databases (SQL) and NoSQL databases
• Hands-on experience with Kafka and event-driven architectures
• Experience in API design, integration, and security best practices
• Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Must be local to Phoenix, AZ (onsite position)
