This, in turn, creates a lasting impact on the world around us. **Job Description** | Welcome to Olsson's Industrial Environmental team, where innovation meets sustainability in the industrial sector. Our diverse team of experts excels in navigating complex regulatory landscapes, providing environmentally sound and economically viable solutions. As an **Associate Scientist**, you will contribute to projects across various sectors, including mining, agriculture, advanced manufacturing, and chemical facilities. You will gain hands-on experience through field surveys, data collection, environmental assessments, and environmental compliance projects supporting our senior scientists in delivering solutions that balance client needs with environmental stewardship.


**Primary Responsibilities:**


· Conduct environmental compliance and hazardous material assessments, ensuring data integrity and adherence to regulatory requirements.


· Assist in preparing technical reports and documentation for environmental assessments, permits, and compliance measures.


· Support small-scale project management, including monitoring timelines, budgets, and scope, under the guidance of senior staff.


· Communicate complex environmental findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • Strong communication skills.

  • Ability to contribute and work well with a team.

  • Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Environmental Science, Environmental Resources, or a related field.

  • 3+ years of experience in environmental consulting or related scientific fieldwork.

  • Knowledge of environmental regulations is preferred.

  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel for fieldwork.
