Job Description

We are hiring a Java Backend Developer with 9+ years of experience for a hybrid role in Jersey City, NJ. The ideal candidate has strong hands-on experience in Core Java, Spring Boot, and Microservices, and is comfortable working in an Agile environment while collaborating with multiple stakeholders on enterprise applications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop Core Java and Spring Boot based microservices
  • Build and consume REST and SOAP web services
  • Work with Oracle and MongoDB databases
  • Containerize and deploy services using Docker and Kubernetes
  • Apply microservices design patterns for scalable architecture
  • Coordinate with different stakeholders across the project
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies and sprint delivery
  • Use Team City, JIRA, and Git for build and version management

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in Java
  • Strong experience with Spring Boot and Microservices architecture
  • Good knowledge of Object Oriented design principles and the Java standard library
  • Hands-on experience with REST/SOAP web services
  • Experience with Oracle and/or MongoDB databases
  • Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
  • Strong understanding of Data Structures and Algorithms
  • Experience with Team City, JIRA, and Git
  • Experience in Agile software development
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms
  • Strong problem-solving skills and experience in enterprise applications
  • Must be a local or nearby candidate to Jersey City, NJ
  • Valid work authorization: OPT, GC-EAD, or H4-EAD
