Job Title: DevOps ManagerDepartment : Enterprise Technology teamLocation : Bangalore or MumbaiReports to VP – TechnologyTotal Work Experience Minimum 10 – 12 Yrs in DevOpsDevOps Experience 5 -6 YrsRole Overview:As a Senior DevOps Engineer you will be a subject matter expert in DevOps practices and tooling. You will have a background in infrastructure engineering and a track record of designing and delivering large-scale, highly available systems. You will be a strong advocate for the team and share assets, ideas, designs, approaches and successes with other product delivery teams. You will be able to balance your engineering skills with strategy and design leadership. We're looking for engineers who bring fresh ideas from all areas, including information retrieval, distributed computing, large-scale system design, networking and data storage, security, artificial intelligence, and containerisation. We need our leaders to be versatile, fearless, free thinking, innovative, disruptive, enthusiastic in taking on new problems and inspirational to their reports and peers alikeResponsibilities:Collaborate closely with leads to deliver secure, reliable, robust and scalable solutions.Identify and implement DevOps engineering best practices in conjunction with your peers, both within Platform Engineering and Technology as a wholeEnsure the use of continuous delivery pipelines and tools to fully automate deployment, testing, delivery, and management of development, QA and production systems on a variety of cloud platforms.Troubleshoot and take ownership of issues in development, test and production environments. Including performance optimization and continuous tuning Continuous learning and evaluation of the latest approaches, tools, and technologies.Continually collaborate, inspire and think outside of the box to conceive of and build solutions to place Dentsu ahead of the curve and be a leading contributor to DevOps innovation within the industryReporting on environment health, delivery timelines, and DevOps impactKey Skills and Experience:Must be from a UNIX / Linux sys-admin backgroundExpert knowledge in container orchestration technologies (Kubernetes)Expert knowledge of continuous integration and automated testingExperience in one or more popular CI platforms (e.g. Jenkins, Bamboo, Travis)Experience with Helm package managerStrong experience in AWS cloud platform knowledge of Ansible and Terraform Strong TCP/IP skillsGood understanding of PKI Expert scripting skills (bash/sh/ksh)Experience in another language (e.g. golang, javascript, python, PerlExperience in Observability Platforms like DataDog, Splunk, Grafana. Collect analyse the data and metrics to troubleshoot issues in the platform.Integrate security best practise into development workflowCandidates Profile:A thought leader, not afraid to challenge and disrupt pre-conceived ideas and approaches. A passionate advocate of automated testing and continuous deployment Ability to quickly learn and adapt to emerging techniques, frameworks, and platforms Able to switch easily between strategy/leadership/ and hands-on engineering responsibilities Excellent communication, stakeholder management and collaboration skills.
