Key Responsibilities In this role, you will play an integral part in the fullelectrical design and project delivery process, including: - Designing and developing electrical systems for commercial, retail, institutional, and industrial buildings. - Preparing detailed electrical drawings, schematics, and specifications using AutoCAD and Revit. - Completing electrical construction drawing packages and supporting contract administration through construction. - Conducting site reviews, load calculations (HV & LV), lighting design, lighting controls, power distribution, and fire alarm system design. - Designing emergency power systems, security systems, and IT infrastructure. - Coordinating with mechanical, structural, and architectural disciplines to deliver integrated solutions. - Participating in utility coordination, negotiations, and ensuring compliance with codes, standards, and client requirements. - Supporting project delivery from concept design through final construction review. Must-Have Qualifications - 5+ years of experience in electrical engineering/design within commercial, retail, institutional, or industrial sectors. - Degree in Electrical Engineering or a Building Sciences / Electrical Engineering Technology diploma (equivalent international education accepted). - Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit. - Experience with electrical design software such as AGI32, ETAP, SKM (asset). - Strong understanding of the Canadian Electrical Code and relevant building codes. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including technical report writing. - Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel). Compensation TransparencyThe expected compensation range for this role is $75 000– $110 000 annually, depending on experience, skills, and qualifications.
