Job Description

Foodhub is seeking an experienced Lead React Native Developer to join its growing engineering team based in Chennai. You will work on real-world mobile products used by customers globally across the UK, US, Australia, New Zealand, and India. This is a high-ownership, high-impact role where you will influence architecture decisions, mentor engineers, and build scalable mobile experiences. Foodhub operates with a flat hierarchical environment that encourages individuals to speak their minds, share ideas, and grow in a vibrant, collaborative culture.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and build scalable, production-grade React Native mobile applications used by global customers
  • Influence and shape mobile architecture decisions across the engineering team
  • Lead technical discussions and drive best practices for performance, maintainability, and code quality
  • Review code and provide constructive feedback to team members
  • Mentor junior and mid-level developers, fostering a culture of technical excellence
  • Own the mobile app release process including CI/CD pipelines for Android and iOS
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality mobile features

Requirements

  • Strong expertise in React Native and TypeScript
  • Hands-on experience with Redux and Redux Saga
  • Deep understanding of both Android and iOS platforms
  • Proven experience building scalable, production-grade mobile applications
  • Strong focus on performance, maintainability, and code quality
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and mobile app release processes
  • Ability to lead technical discussions, conduct code reviews, and mentor developers
  • Bonus: Experience with React Native New Architecture (JSI, Fabric, TurboModules)
  • Bonus: Native Android development with Kotlin or iOS development with Swift
  • Bonus: Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools such as Cursor, Claude, ChatGPT, or GitHub Copilot
