If you're looking for a workplace where excellence is expected, your contributions are valued, and you can build a career with purpose, Imaging Associates is the place to do it. ## Description General Description We are seeking a skilled Full Stack Developer to design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade web applications that support our radiology operations, patient platforms, and internal tools. This role involves full stack development with a focus on modern frameworks, cloud-native architectures, and integration with healthcare data systems. The ideal candidate will bring experience similar to senior engineers who have supported mission-critical government and enterprise applications, ensuring scalability, security, and performance in a regulated environment. This position offers the opportunity to contribute to meaningful projects that directly impact patient care while working in a collaborative, mission-driven team. Job Duties (Essential Functions) • Develop and maintain full-stack web applications using modern technologies (frontend and backend). • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions that increase efficiency and lower operational costs. • Design, implement, and optimize databases and APIs for imaging workflows, reporting, and integration with radiology systems. • Ensure all applications meet healthcare compliance standards (HIPAA, SOC II, security best practices) and regulatory requirements. • Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve application issues in a timely manner. • Implement and maintain integrations with third-party systems (PACS, RIS, billing, etc.). • Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code. • Participate in code reviews and contribute to technical architecture decisions. • Support and train end-users on new features and systems. • Monitor application performance and implement improvements for scalability and reliability. • Stay current with emerging technologies and recommend solutions that drive innovation and cost savings. • Other duties as assigned. ## Requirements Physical Requirements • Primarily sedentary role with extended periods of computer use. • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally (e.g., computer equipment). • Frequent use of keyboard, mouse, and multiple monitors. • Must be able to travel occasionally between clinic locations in Anchorage, Eagle River, and Palmer if needed. Mental Requirements • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with attention to detail. • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. • Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with technical and non-technical staff. • Capacity to handle confidential patient and business information with discretion. • Adaptability to changing priorities and technologies. Responsibility for Materials and Equipment Responsible for company computers, development tools, servers, and software assets. Must exercise care to prevent loss, damage, or security breaches. Environmental Conditions / OSHA Category Primarily office environment. OSHA Category II – Minimal exposure to bloodborne pathogens. Essential Job Qualifications • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience). • Experience: Minimum 4 years of full-stack development experience. Healthcare or radiology experience preferred. • Technical Skills: Proficiency in modern frontend (React, Vue, or Angular) and backend frameworks (Node.js, .NET, Python/Django, etc.), relational databases (SQL), RESTful APIs, and cloud services (AWS/Azure). Experience with HIPAA-compliant systems strongly preferred. • Strong defense-in-depth approach to secure coding, including input validation, output encoding, least privilege principles, and protection against OWASP Top 10 vulnerabilities. • Experience implementing layered security controls (authentication, authorization, encryption at rest/transit, secure session management, and API security) in enterprise applications. • Other Qualifications: Strong understanding of software development lifecycle, version control (Git), and agile methodologies. Excellent problem-solving and communication skills. • Regular attendance is required. • Must be able to read, write, and speak English. • Demonstrates personal and interpersonal qualities consistent with Imaging Associates’ Code of Conduct (integrity, compliance, and ethics in the workplace).
