The Opportunity
The AGI Human Resources (HR) team is a key partner with the local leadership, providing critical support in creating a productive and positive culture. We’re seeking a qualified and resourceful Human Resources Generalist to support our department in ensuring smooth, efficient business operations. The Human Resources Generalist will have both administrative and strategic responsibilities and will support key functions such as recruitment, training and development, and compensation and benefits. Responsibilities:
- Partner with leaders, HR Business Partners, shared services, and Centers of Excellence to support the North America HR operating model and ensure consistent execution of employee lifecycle processes.
- Provide day-to-day HR guidance to managers and employees on employee relations, performance, attendance, discipline, accommodations, leaves, return-to-work, and conflict resolution; escalate complex or high-risk matters as appropriate.
- Administer and support HR policies, procedures, programs, and compliance requirements, including policy updates, employee handbook maintenance, investigations, and consistent application of federal and state employment requirements.
- Coordinate recruitment support, onboarding, orientation, 30/60/90-day check-ins, employee transitions, and exit interview processes in partnership with Talent Acquisition and business leaders.
- Support performance management, talent review, succession planning, employee development, engagement, retention actions, and organizational training initiatives.
- Support compensation, benefits, wellness, and job architecture processes, including job description updates, employee inquiries, and coordination with internal and external partners.
- Maintain accurate HRIS, payroll, time and attendance, and employee record data for new hires, transfers, promotions, status changes, leaves, and terminations; prepare reports and track follow-up actions as needed.
- Prepare clear HR communications, employee notices, manager talking points, and change-management materials to support policy, organizational, engagement, and site-level initiatives.
- Identify opportunities to improve HR processes, employee experience, culture, performance, and business outcomes through data, feedback, and partnership with site and functional leaders.
- Support HR, safety, ethics, and compliance programs; follow AGI’s safety policies, Code of Business Ethics, and related compliance requirements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field required.
- 3 to 5 years of proven Human Resources Generalist experience.
- Understanding of general human resources policies and procedures.
- Good knowledge of employment standards/labor laws.
- Strong skill sets and proven abilities with Microsoft Office; HRIS systems will be a plus.
- Excellent communication and people skills, ethics, and cultural awareness.
- Ability to travel domestically up to 10% of the time
