Job Description

Required Skills · Hands-on experience with Apigee, IBMAPI Connect (APIC), and Kong API Gateway - Strong REST API development experience - API lifecycle management - OpenAPI (Swagger) specification - API security (OAuth 2.0, JWT, mTLS, API Keys) - API proxy development and policy configuration - Microservices architecture - JSON, XML - API testing using Postman or similar tools - CI/CD tools (Git, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps) - Experience working in Agile environments Preferred Skills · Experience with Kubernetes/OpenShift - Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) - Containerization using Docker - Monitoring tools such as Splunk, Grafana, or Prometheus - Knowledge of DataPower or NGINX API Gateway - Experience with API migrations between gateway platforms Experience · 5–8+ years of experience in API development and API Gateway technologies - 3+ years of hands-on experience with one or more enterprise API management platforms (Apigee, IBM API Connect, Kong)

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage REST APIs using Apigee, IBM API Connect, and Kong API Gateway
  • Implement API lifecycle management and security protocols including OAuth 2.0, JWT, and mTLS
  • Design and configure microservices architecture
  • Utilize OpenAPI (Swagger) specifications for API documentation
  • Perform API testing using Postman or similar tools
  • Manage CI/CD pipelines using Git, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, and Azure DevOps
  • Work within Agile development environments
