Entuitive is looking for a Junior Structural Designer, based in our Edmonton office to be part of our Structural Engineering team. What will you do? - Structural engineering design and calculations for all structural components including columns, beams, slabs, foundations, and lateral systems. - Design and engineering using materials such as structural steel, concrete, masonry, cold formed structural steel, and wood. - Works to assemble and coordinate engineering drawings and contract documents in collaboration with our BIM technologists and other members of the engineering team. - Conduct field reviews and other contract administrative duties, as required. - Drafts project-related correspondence as needed. - Conducts review of the architectural, electrical, mechanical, and structural drawings. What do you need to succeed? - An engineering degree with a focus on civil and structural engineering. - EIT designation is considered an asset. - Contract administration and site inspection experience is considered an asset. - Must have a working knowledge and ability to use programs such as Revit, Bluebeam, Microsoft Word and Excel and structural analysis software (SAP2000, RAM, ETABS, etc.). - Excellent communication skills both verbal and written with the ability to work with people at all levels including project stakeholders and clients. - Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities and deliverables on an ongoing basis. - Knowledge and interest related to embodied carbon is considered an asset.
