Job Description
At arrivia, we connect people to world-class travel experiences, and behind every great journey is a powerhouse Accounting team. We are looking for a sharp, resilient, and analytical Lead Staff Accountant to step into a critical role within our corporate finance function.
If you thrive in high-volume environments, possess a bulletproof understanding of account reconciliations, and actually enjoy the challenge of auditing and cleaning up messy, complex transactional data, we want to talk to you.
What You Will Do:
- Master the Reconciliations: Take full ownership of complex monthly balance sheet reconciliations, driving total accuracy and structural integrity across our accounts.
- Navigate Complex Data: Use your strong investigative skills to dive deep into high-volume general ledger data, quickly identifying, unpacking, and resolving discrepancies.
- Drive the Close: Partner closely with the corporate accounting manager, senior analysts, and staff accountants to execute an efficient, accurate monthly close process.
- Streamline and Optimize: Stay curious. Look for ways to improve internal controls, standardize procedures, and eliminate inefficiencies in our current workflows.
- Support the Big Picture: Assist with annual corporate audit engagements, coordinate field testing, and pull key schedules for quarterly and annual tax requests.
- Mentor and Lead: Serve as a subject matter expert and a supportive guide to help grow and develop junior staff accountants on the team.
What We Are Looking For:
- The Right Education: A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting or related field
- The Sweet Spot of Experience: 5 to 8 years of progressive, hands-on accounting experience, ideally inside a high-volume corporate or enterprise environment.
- Data & System Savvy: Advanced technical capability with Excel and direct experience navigating major enterprise resource planning systems (experience with Acumatica is a major plus).
- A Fast Learning Curve: The ability to jump into unique, industry-specific business models, grasp complex data streams quickly, and solve problems independently.
- Thought Leadership: A professional who doesn't just pass journal entries, but understands the GAAP guidance behind them and can communicate effectively across multiple departments.
The Perks & Benefits:
At arrivia, we don’t just talk about travel, we live it. We offer a comprehensive rewards package designed to support your health, your future, and your next big adventure:
- Incredible Travel Perks: Explore the world for less! Take advantage of exclusive, deeply discounted rates on cruises, resorts, hotels, and vacation packages available only to our team members.
- Comprehensive Health Coverage: Stay covered with robust medical, dental, and vision insurance options tailored to protect you and your family.
- Invest in Your Future: Secure your retirement goals with our competitive 401k plan featuring a company matching contribution.
- Time to Unwind: Recharge and stay fresh with unlimited PTO and paid company holidays.
- Stay Curious & Grow: Expand your professional horizon with continuous learning opportunities, structured development, and internal career pathing.
