Job Description

Marketing & Business Development Coordinator The Marketing & Business Development Coordinator leads the firm's marketing, social media, communications, Requests for Proposals, rankings submissions, events, and employer brand efforts. This role requires a proactive, energetic marketer with strong writing, social media, and organizational skills who can bring fresh ideas, elevate the firm's brand, and keep marketing initiatives moving forward. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Social Media and Digital Content - Manage the firm's LinkedIn presence and other social media activity. - Draft, schedule, and post content that highlights firm news, attorney accomplishments, events, sponsorships, community involvement, recruiting efforts, and firm culture. - Create social media content that supports the firm's external brand and employer brand. - Maintain a social media calendar and identify opportunities for regular, relevant posts. - Monitor engagement and suggest ways to improve the firm's social media presence. - Ensure all social media content is accurate, professional, and consistent with the firm's tone and brand. Marketing Materials and Collateral - Create, update, and maintain firm marketing materials, including brochures, attorney biographies, practice descriptions, one-page handouts, event materials, newsletters, client communications, sponsorship ads, and recruiting materials. - Ensure marketing materials are current, accurate, well-written, and visually professional. - Coordinate with attorneys, administrative staff, outside printers, photographers, and other vendors as needed. - Maintain organized files, templates, and prior versions of marketing materials. Rankings, Awards, and Publication Submissions - Coordinate submissions for legal rankings, attorney awards, industry recognitions, and similar opportunities. - Maintain a calendar of submission deadlines and requirements. - Gather information from attorneys and firm leadership for submissions. - Draft, edit, and organize submission materials. - Track results and assist with promoting recognitions through social media, website updates, marketing materials, and internal communications. Request for Proposals (RFP) Support - Lead the coordination, preparation, and submission of RFPs, proposals, and client questionnaires. - Manage the proposal process from start to finish, including reviewing requirements, creating timelines, gathering information, tracking deadlines, and ensuring submissions are complete and accurate. - Work with attorneys and firm leadership to collect attorney biographies, firm descriptions, practice information, representative experience, staffing details, and other required materials. - Draft, edit, format, and proofread proposal materials to ensure responses are polished, professional, and submitted on time. - Maintain standard language, templates, prior responses, and reusable content for future RFPs and proposals. Events and Sponsorship Support - Support attorneys and firm leadership with marketing needs related to events, sponsorships, conferences, speaking engagements, and professional association activities. - Assist with invitations, event materials, advertisements, sponsorship deliverables, attendee lists, follow-up materials, and related social media posts. - Coordinate with attorneys, administrative staff, outside organizations, and vendors to help ensure event-related marketing tasks are completed on time. - Identify opportunities to promote the firm's participation in events and sponsorships. Website and Firm Communications - Create updates to the firm website, including attorney biographies, news items, announcements, recognitions, and event-related content. - Draft and edit firm announcements, internal communications, and marketing-related copy as needed. - Help ensure consistency in messaging across the firm's website, social media, brochures, and other materials. - Proactively identify opportunities to improve website content, highlight firm news, promote attorney accomplishments, and enhance the firm's overall brand presence. Employer Brand Support - Create content that highlights the firm's workplace culture, attorneys, staff, community involvement, recruiting efforts, and career opportunities. - Proactively identify opportunities to strengthen the firm's employer brand, including new content ideas, culture-focused messaging, attorney and staff spotlights, and ways to better showcase the firm as a workplace. - Support recruiting-related marketing needs, including social media posts, website updates, brochures, and other materials. General Growth Initiatives - Bring new ideas to help grow client base. - Identify trends and opportunities in legal marketing - Take ownership of projects from concept through execution - Collaborate directly with firm leadership on strategic growth initiatives. Required Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, public relations, journalism, business, or a related field. - Experience in marketing, communications, social media, or a related role. - Strong social media experience, particularly with LinkedIn. - Excellent writing, editing, proofreading, and communication skills. - Ability to create clear, professional, and polished marketing content. - Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines. - High attention to detail and accuracy. - Ability to work professionally with attorneys, staff, firm leadership, vendors, and outside organizations. - Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. - Experience with Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, website content management systems, social media scheduling tools, and other marketing technology preferred.
